A story about family, dependence and not letting go, Sherbet tells the tale of Darren. Welcomed into his 30th birthday party by Daz's partner Jo and brother Lou, the audience are treated to an evening of dancing, drinks, and the pair reminiscing about the birthday boy's highs and lows to date. And he's late, as usual...

 

Vocal Point's most recent production premiered in the atmospheric basement of Islington's Candid Arts Trust in October 2018.

​

Part-party, part-immersive storytelling, Sherbet concerned alcoholism and the toll it can take on loved ones. The sell-out show enjoyed a successful run in North London and, before Covid struck, was scheduled to tour in 2020.

​

Vocal Point and Candid Arts Trust provided subsidised tickets to Sherbet for members and volunteers from St Mungo's Recovery College Southwark and 240 Project Community Centre Ladbroke Grove.
